I love Melbourne. The street art is just one of the many things that make it the fantastic place it is. I hope you enjoyed these samples from the CBD laneways and Brunswick.

More Babushkas
Yes I love doing Babushka inspired illustrations. I am currently working on a commission for a childrens library, and this work is from one of the sketches I put foward. It wasn't the image chosen but I loved it so much I did it anyway.
Keep an eye out for the actual commission painting... will pop it up once I have handed it over.

Pottery
I am a happy girl as I went back to pottery today. I haven't been for around 7 months so I have been hanging out to get my hands dirty.
I am working on a mixed medium series which incorporates clay, musical instruments and more.
I still have to make the other wings and then add texture to all the feathers.
The legs and claws will be made from wire.
This time...

School Holidays: art/craft with the kids
I love the winter school holidays. The cold weather gives us a great excuse to laze around the house and do arty stuff. This holidays Willow and I worked on her first claymation movie. We had issues with a seriously tempermental camera, so the movie is a bit jumpy, but apart from that it's a pretty cool first attempt. Willow made the characters, the story and made up a piece of music for it - which she plays. So here it is ...the World Premiere of "Trick or Treat"...
Willow and Shelton also did some crafty things including painting their own mugs and making sock puppets. Shelton also made some great plastercine characters while Willow worked on her movie.

MISSION COMPLETION
Good things take time and I am happy to say that my painting is finally completed. (Well probably finally completed - still not sure about the hair.) It is as yet 'untitled' but I have a few ideas.
I hope you have enjoyed the opportunity to see a painting in progress and see the path it takes to the finishing line.
First the progress pictures...
and now the completed painting...
